Beautiful is the diversity we see in the form of communications people do in different parts of our world. This diversity is in both spoken and written. The words we use to express ourselves first develop as a spoken language and gets called as a dialect and then a structured & defined pattern is developed to express them in written forms. These patterns are called scripts. 

In India we have 22 distinct scripts, 780 different languages and over 2000 different dialects. Although India has so many different spoken languages and approx. 74% literacy, as many as 98% can write in one of the top 11 scripts.
