Indoeuropeans started as a private company in the Czech Republic, in 2008. It registered in New Delhi, India in 2010, also in the same name, Indoeuropeans Pvt Ltd. From its initial years undertaking consulting projects lead by Ratnesh & supported by temporary project hires it moved to doing its own projects, always self-financed by Ratnesh & Sangeeta Mathur from their investment earnings.

The name of the company - Indoeuropeans - refers to a language family with common roots. Since both Ratnesh & Sangeeta had spent much time in Europe & India, and had learnt a few Indoeuropean languages, they decided on this name of the company. Besides, they had intended to register a company in both Europe & India, from inception.
